Step 1. Shake the filter for about 5 seconds.
Step 2. Immerse the filter upside down in a bowl of cold water, shake/press the filter a little, and wait until no more air bubbles come out.
Step 3. The filter is now prepared for use and can be placed in the water reservoir.
Step 4. Place the filter vertically on the filter base in the water reservoir. Press the filter all the way down.
Step 5. Fill the water reservoir with fresh water and place it back in the device.
Step 6. Remove the LatteGo if it is attached.
Step 7. Place a bowl under the hot water spout/milk frother.
Step 8. Press and hold the AquaClean icon for 3 seconds. The start light will begin to pulse.
Step 9. Press the start/stop button to start the activation process.
Step 10. Hot water is dispensed from the hot water spout/milk frother (up to 3 minutes).
