Step 1: Remove the water reservoir. Throw away the water present and the old filter. Check if the reservoir is clean.

Step 2: Fill the reservoir with drinking water and hold the new filter for half a minute to a minute upside down under water! This ensures that the air bubbles can escape from the water filter. (Keeping the water filter in water upside down is crucial to optimally use the water filter in your machine. You can also keep the water filter upside down in a bowl with water.)

Step 3: Attach the new filter in the water reservoir and place the reservoir back in the machine.

Step 4: Tap a few cups of water via the steam pipe before you use the machine again.
